Laura and Grant participated in another 5Peaks run. Grant ran the 10km Enduro course in 1:07:34 and Laura completed the 7km Sport course in 1:03:09
July 20- Fort Langley Half Marathon
Doug M ran this one in 1:43:23
July 19 - Peak Challenge
1200m elevation gain over 12km. Only the elite division - which included Ellie - was officially timed. Ellie ran it in 1:26:53 - with some very fast company!
July 19 - Summerfast 10K
Dave M was the only PRR participant. 55:03.9
July 12 - Sun Peaks Enduro (12.5 km) and Sport (6.5 km) races
Grant and Laura participated in this event. Grant ran the Enduro course in 1:40:22. Laura ran the Sport course and was the 2nd woman - 1:04:32. They enjoyed the event so much that they’re recommending it to club members for next year.

The Boston gang (12 club members plus 2 that joined after the race!) thoroughly enjoyed their April 21 event.
What’s still to come?
Medoc September 6. 8 members (Monique, Bill, Nicki, Mike B, Jess, Mike S, Len, Bonnie) plus 4 friends are headed to a 42 km long costume party complete with 25 wine tastings, 50 chateaux, and over 30 bands. Now that’s a run. http://www.marathondumedoc.com/

Of the 9 PRR members who “won” the Knee Knacker lottery, 7 survived the training to make it to race day. Susan, Bill, Terry, Jim (who survived the training by not doing it!), Sukhi, Jon F, and Henry hit the trails for the steep start to the Knee Knacker 50km.
Only slightly later Dave, Jackie, Sally, Paul, Lan, Barb and John - until he left to sweep half of the course - were busy setting up the Cypress Bowl aid station. The Skyline station - Marco, Mike, Nicki, Jess and Nelson - with thanks to Rik who brought coffee and Maurice and Deanna who showed up to cheer & assist - weren’t on duty until the civilized hour of 8 am. And of course Bettie was everywhere she could be - taking pictures.
Enough about the volunteers. Here’s how our stars performed in the heat.
