While in Dawson City for the music festival Ross decided to try out the local race - the 2009 Midnight Dome run. (Midnight Dome is so named because from its summit at midnight on June 21 you can watch the sun dip to the horizon before rising again pretty much immediately.)
According to Ross, this is an “awful” run. 7km straight up - nothing flat - 3000 ft elevation gain. His time 53:59. Apparently he feels ripped off because there was no category for most hung over runner - a category he is sure he would have won.
