Full marathon - Grant F ran a 3:28:29 marathon in Sin City.
Half marathon - Laura ran the half in 1:51:42
Gunner Shaw Cross Country
Ellie was the only PRRer in the 10 km cross country - finishing in 40:25
December 9th, 2008 at 11:30 am Right. Best of 4 in 2008. Also just second best raw time in last 9 marathons (starting with Victoria in 2000 - it is #2 overall) and third best ever, with Vancouver 1988 as best ever (sub 3:25 - no chip time then, so don’t know actual personal time). As everyone knows, I love the age-grading (wonder why?) and if you grade ‘em all, then CIM was second best of 10. Thanks for noticing! Congrats to Grant and Laura, and to Ellie. CIM is reputed to be fast. I think it is, but it is tricky too (many others thought so, as well). Lots of Canadians, had dinner with a dozen or so Sunday. Canadians have kind of owned this race, especially in early days. Wins by Peter Butler (still second fastest ever, by only 29 seconds, at 2:10:56), Bruce Deacon (3X), Graeme Fell and Peter Maher, all by 2001, for 6/26 in total.
