A slightly less local race

Our only father and son “team”, currently in training for the Knee Knacker, decided to go a little farther than Bellingham or Kelowna for their ultra race this past weekend.  How does Peru sound?

Jon and Ross completed the Inca Trail Marathon (hey they need to rename it.  I don’t care if it’s 42.3 - anything over 42.2 is an Ultra!)- a 45 km run at high elevation from Cusco to Macchu Pichu.  The run starts at 11000 ft  - never drops below 8000 ft and climbs to a summit of almost 14000.  Now that’s an adventure.

Ross completed the run in 8:03:02.  Jon’s time was 8:29:21.

We’re definitely expecting a newsletter article out of this one!
