June 22 - Scotiabank Half.
Perfect weather for a run - breaking Catherine’s curse (proving that possibly the bad weather follows Karen!) Nice to see the PRR cheering squad at various points on the course - Mike, Bettie, Jess, Bonnie, Dianna, Jack.

June 21 Chesty Puller Memorial … 10 km
West Point Virginia
Jackie M is now officially a running fiend! 58:08 in this 10 km with the strangest name ever. What’s next Jackie? Careful, you’re on the road to a half - then a full, then the next thing you know you’re signing up for a 100!
And now for a paid announcement from Dave M who wishes to point out that only a few years younger and Jackie would have been second in her age group.
June 20 Chip’s Not Dead Yet Miracle Mile
There are some things you just can’t “unsee”. Eight PRR runners in their underwear - or seven in the underwear and Arthur in who knows what - qualifies in this category. For those of you who didn’t make it out to watch the festivities - add this date to your 2009 calendar. You won’t believe it til you see it.
The Underwear gang:
Ellie, Terry, John, Bill, Sukhi (with bruise), Dean, Dianna, & Arthur on crutches. Kudos! Our gang looked pretty hot compared to some of the very brave runners in this category. Definitely the crowd favorite category. This category wasn’t officially timed so we have no way of knowing if running half-naked makes you faster or not. But as usual - Ellie was the first woman!
The regular runners:
Russell 5:50 fifth overall, first in his age group
Susan 6:56 first woman, first in her age group
Premica 8:14 first in her age group
Shi-Ling & Debby - running with Katherine in the stroller 8:20
Monique 8:35
Barb 9:21
Bonnie 9:34
Doug ran in the corporate division with a time of 7:34 (first in his age group).
Barb D joined the “pimped out rides” theme wave.
Nobody ran in the brides and bridsemaids group. Guess I know where I’ll be next year.
Also - congratulations to Russell who was the event’s third leading money maker on the charity funds drive. Well done Russell.
If any other club member is running for Charity - this is the place to post the details. Email me at info@pacificroadrunners.ca and I’ll make sure your details get posted.
June 13 - Longest Day 5 & 10 km - It was a cool night at Thunderbird stadium - but that didn’t deter the PRR crowd. We had so many club members out that it felt like a regular Tuesday run (except nobody wanted beer after - too cold). Doug commented that we really shouldn’t start running until after the announcements.
